The rain fly's heat-deflecting silver polyurethane coating keeps the tent's interior temperature up to 10 degrees cooler. Fast and easy set-up, roomy and comfortable sleep space, and optimum weather protection with superior ventilation. The Cool Canyon makes it possible to sleep past dawn without cooking inside the tent.

3.0 out of 5 starsgood tent with design flaws

I didn't notice a big difference in temperature reduction using this tent. It may have helped a bit.
The rainfly is sealed. You will need to seal the rest of the tent prior to use. Where the tent meets the floor is a problem waiting to happen without proper sealing. (Not a bathtub design. The floor turns up creating a trough at the seam. The water will go through. A design problem)
I like the idea of the silver coated tents. Other than the tent to floor design flaw this is a pretty good tent. I would like to see more quality tents with a silver coated light blocking rainfly (100% light blocking would be best) but pickings are slim.
